Compare current installations with the target of 30,830 MW (for all of 2016), by province, in the National wind power development and construction plan 2016 (link).

 

From January to September, national additional grid connected wind power capacity was 10 GW; by the end of September, cumulative grid connected capacity was 139 GW, an increase of 28% on the same period last year;from January to September, national wind power production was 169.3 TWh, an increase of 27% on the same period last year;the average productivity was 1251 full-load hours, down 66 hours on the same period last year;wind power curtailment was 39.47 TWh, an increase of 24.7 TWh;average wind power curtailment was 19%, an increase of 9.5 percentage points。

From January to September, the provinces with relatively high capacity additions were Yunnan (2.26 GW), Jiangsu (1.04 GW), Shandong (930 MW) and Jilin (610 MW)。Provinces with relatively high average productivity of wind power were Yunnan (1712 full-load hours), Sichuan (1643 hours), Guangxi (1614 hours) and Fujian (1602 hours);Provinces with relatively high average productivity of wind power were Gansu (870 hours), Guangdong (904 hours), Xinjiang (946 hours) and Jilin (951 hours)。
