Q1 2016 Wind power operating statistics

In the first quarter, total newly installed grid-connected capacity was 5.33 GW. By the end of March, cumulative grid-connected capacity reached 134 GW, an increase of 33% yea-on-year;in Q1, total wind power generation was 55.2 TWh, an increase of 21% year-on-year;average productivity was 422 full-load hours, a decrease of 61 hours on the same period last year;wind power curtailment was 19.2 TWh, an increase of 8.5 TWh on the same period last year;the average curtailment rate was 26%, an increase of 7 percentage points on the same period last year。

In the first quarter, provinces with relatively large increase to grid-connected capacity were Yunnan province (2.09 GW), Jilin (560 MW), Inner Mongolia (280 MW), Shandong (260 MW) and Jiangsu (250 MW)。Provinces with relatively high average productivity of wind power were Fujian (755 full-load hours), Yunnan (753 hours), Sichuan (738 hours) and Tibet (705 hours);Provinces with relatively low average productivity of wind power were Gansu (294 full-load hours), Jilin (224 hours) Ningxia (264 hours) and Xinjiang (189 hours)。
