新华网贵阳１月２７日电（记者王新明、王橙澄）２７日，清洁环保、安全高效的天然气，通过中缅、中贵天然气管道的长途运输，流入支线管网，进入贵州寻常百姓家，从此，贵州也正式开启绿色能源新时代。据了解，今年贵州省贵阳、遵义、安顺、都匀四个城市将率先使用管道天然气。
贵州煤炭资源丰富，素有“江南煤海”之称。长期以来，煤是贵州省工业企业发展、千家万户生活的主要燃料。中国市政工程华北设计研究总院总工程师李颜强告诉记者，燃煤的习惯造成低空型煤烟污染，是造成过去贵州环境恶化，酸雨严重的重要原因。
１９８６年贵阳煤气工程筹建处（贵州燃气集团前身）正式成立。上世纪９０年代，贵州又实施“煤气工程”，攻克了复杂的地理环境，让老百姓用上了管道煤气。煤气的使用，对贵阳市摘掉“全国三大酸雨城市”的帽子起到重要促进作用，目前贵阳市全年空气质量优良天气达９０％以上。
但贵州天然气资源稀缺，只能使用槽车从外省运送液化天然气入黔，不仅运输成本较高，而且供气量有限。国家能源战略规划重大项目“中缅”“中贵”两条天然气管道，彻底改变了这一局面。如今，老百姓一拧开关，便能用上清洁高效的天然气。同时，也为贵州经济社会发展和生态文明建设提供了能源保障。
