记者张建军从广东电网年度工作电视电话会议上获悉：广东省近年来积极使用清洁电力。2013年广东清洁能源累计发电量2120.09亿千瓦时，占广东发受电量44.4%，发电量同比增长4.5%，广东电网相关部门预计，2014年广东清洁能源发电量将达2463.8亿千瓦时，占广东统调发受电量48.8%，发电量同比增长16.2%。
据悉，今年随着云南省糯扎渡和溪洛渡直流工程的建成投产，南方电网西电东送通道的送电能力将大幅提升，云南地区的清洁水电可直接送入珠江三角洲负荷中心，将等效增加广东省内清洁能源电量203.8亿千瓦时。广东电网在提升供电能力的同时，为降低环境污染，减排二氧化碳和二氧化硫，还深入推进节能发电调度，去年全年累计节省标煤198万吨，减排二氧化碳528万吨，二氧化硫124万吨。
