曾让世人头疼的牛粪，如今成为一种新的生物天然气，可用于人们的日常生活。中广核集团在新疆呼图壁县种牛场投资1.085亿元建设的规模化生物天然气项目，将牛粪最终转换为生物质天然气进入车用气加气站。
牛粪变生物质天然气的过程，是将收集到的牛粪，通过发酵产生沼气，沼气经过提纯，就是车用燃气。呼图壁种牛场生物天然气项目日处理牛粪量可以达到1133吨，可产生沼气36000立方米，提纯后可以生产车用燃气22200立方米。据呼图壁种牛场生物天然气项目经理介绍，平均一头牛一天可以产25公斤牛粪，25公斤牛尿，这些看似不起眼的粪便经过加工转换，可产生0.6立方米生物质天然气，可供一辆小汽车跑5公里左右。使用这种天然气，汽车尾气污染物排放可大大降低。
呼图壁种牛场党委委员张朝军介绍，生物天然气项目的建成，不仅可以生产天然气，减少环境污染，而且在生产过程中产生的沼渣、沼液可以作为肥料种植饲草料，形成循环经济。（记者王瑟 通讯员李昆鹏、马慧）
