西部首座核电站——广西防城港核电站一期工程今日全面建成。该工程由中广核和广西投资集团共同投资建设，两台机组均采用中广核自主设计的改进型压水堆CPR1000技术。首台机组已于2016年1月1日投入商业运行，2号机组于2016年10月1日投入商业运行。
据悉，防城港核电一期工程2台机组投运后，每年可提供150亿千瓦时安全、清洁、经济的电力，减少标煤消耗482万吨，减少二氧化碳排放量约1186万吨，减少二氧化硫和氮氧化物排放量约19万吨。
据了解，该工程多个关键设备首次实现国产化。首次实现核燃料装卸贮存系统（PMC）和固体废物处理系统（TES）等设备国产化，打破了国外技术垄断，推动了我国核电自主化水平的进一步提升。(记者童政 周骁骏)
