山西第一座燃气电厂——新嘉热电厂日前落户太原。该电厂的投产将有效解决太原市热源紧张局面，优化当地能源结构、改善环境质量。
据介绍，新嘉热电厂总装机容量为98.94万千瓦，主要采用山西河东煤田和西山煤田的煤气层，年耗气量为9.6亿标立方米。该电厂将于5月实现并网发电，届时可满足太原市南部地区1000万平方米集中供热需求，同时更有利于增强中部地区电网的调峰能力。 记者李哲、通讯员景玉平
