雨雪天气来临，生活用电攀升。记者从广铁集团获悉：由于2014年初湖南电煤库存量同比去年减少了92万吨，铁路部门正千方百计确保湖南电煤运输。
新年伊始，湖南各大电厂电煤库存开始告急。2013年1月初，湖南全省电煤库存439万吨，而今年仅为347万吨。节后天气急转直下，出现了大范围低温雨雪天气，工业用电虽然下降，生活用电却明显增加，电煤需求依然十分旺盛。据统计，铁路部门节前为湖南地区抢运电煤20万吨，节后至2月8日已抢运电煤13万吨。广铁集团表示，将全力保障低温雨雪天气下湖南的电煤运输。（颜珂、曾勇）
