Shanxi 2013 coal production at record 960 million tons
从山西省第十二届人大二次会议上获悉，２０１３年山西省煤炭产量达到９．６亿吨，其中外运量达到６．２亿吨，创历史新高。
山西省是我国煤炭产量大省，素有“煤海”之称。６０多年来，山西累计产煤１３０亿吨，外调近１００亿吨，供应全国２８个省份，总产量和外输量分别约占全国的四分之一和８０％。２０１２年，山西省煤炭产量首次突破９亿吨，达到９．１３亿吨。
近年来，山西省不断加大现代化矿井建设力度，煤炭开采能力大幅提高。特别是通过实施煤炭资源整合和企业兼并重组，山西煤炭走上了集约化发展道路。全省矿井数量由２６００座减少到１０５３座，办矿主体由２２００多个减少到１３０个，平均单井规模由年产３０万吨提高到年产１００万吨以上，保留矿井全部实现机械化。
山西省长李小鹏表示，２０１４年山西将继续积极推进国家综合能源基地建设，促进煤炭工业可持续发展，加快整合重组矿井技术改造和现代化矿井建设，加大煤炭就地转化力度。
