1-3月，全国风电新增并网容量352万千瓦，截至3月底，累计并网容量达到1.51亿千瓦，累计并网容量同比增长13%；1-3月，全国风电上网电量687亿千瓦时，同比增长26%；平均利用小时数468小时，同比增加46小时；风电弃风电量135亿千瓦时，比去年同期减少57亿千瓦时，弃风限电情况明显好转。
1-3月，新增并网容量较多的省份是青海(59万千瓦)、陕西（41万千瓦）、河南（32万千瓦）和河北（30万千瓦）。风电平均利用小时数较高的省份是四川（962小时）、云南（939小时）、福建（817小时）和广西（682小时）；平均利用小时较低的省份是吉林（278小时）、甘肃（305小时）、黑龙江（307小时）和新疆（317小时）。
